Responsible for directing the operation of the hospital on evenings, nights and weekends. This direction includes responsibility not only for the inpatient units, but for all ancillary and support departments that operate during these hours
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience required
Experience in successful conflict resolution required
Demonstrated working knowledge of the daily operations of an acute care Medical Center, including experience handling emergency/trauma and critical care situations required
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Nursing, Business or Allied Health field
RN License-Current Massachusetts RN license required
CPR required
Recognized as a role model for clinical expertise; documented ability to make prompt, quality decisions in the clinical setting required
Demonstrates sufficient energy to participate in and support staff through change required
Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of fairness and consistency in application of policies and contractual requirements required
Ability to calmly manage a variety of intense activities or problems simultaneously required
History of dependability in maintaining a work schedule and demonstration of work ethic required to motivate others required
Preferred
Minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of staffing systems preferred
MSN preferred
Documented evidence of continuing education and continued professional growth and progress in health care and nursing preferred
