Responsibilities
Serve as lead developer and subject matter expert for applications supporting complex financial business processes
Ensure implementation of robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions
Provide oversight and guidance to quality assurance teams across development lifecycle stages (integration, staging, production)
Ensure adherence to established software development standards
Analyze current business functions for effectiveness and efficiency
Document critical business processes
Assist in process redesign and business re-engineering initiatives
Conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into technical solutions
Support modernization efforts tied to business transformation initiatives
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications supporting financial systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using appropriate tools and collaborative techniques
Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Contribute to roadmap design and process standardization
Collaborate with developers and architects to establish methodologies and documentation standards
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership
Stay current with emerging development technologies and methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education
7+ years as a Lead Developer or Development Manager
5+ years of experience with Azure SQL
5+ years of experience with SQL Server
5+ years of experience with Oracle (or similar relational databases)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET
Strong proficiency in ORMs (Object Relational Mappers)
Strong proficiency in Entity Framework
Strong proficiency in n-Hibernate
Extensive experience developing and maintaining software systems supporting complex financial business processes
Experience creating SQL-based reports and working with Power BI and SSRS
Relational database concepts and advanced SQL proficiency
.NET development framework
ORM technologies (Entity Framework, n-Hibernate)
Financial system application development
Reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, SSRS)
Software quality assurance principles and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
