Responsibilities
Participate in the full software development lifecycle: scoping, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Develop and optimize cloud-based applications using modern technologies
Build new software components and enhance existing systems based on evolving business needs
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Develop using JavaScript and TypeScript across both front-end and back-end services
Build and maintain backend applications with Node.js using frameworks such as Express.js and Nest.js
Develop user interfaces using React or React Native
Implement automated testing to support reliability and scalability
Work with relational databases and emerging data technologies
Use GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows
Apply secure coding practices and contribute to application security compliance
Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
Participate in Agile development processes and sprint planning
Use Jira to manage tasks and communicate progress
Assist with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and iterative product improvements
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with Node.js
Familiarity with Express.js, Nest.js, React, or similar frameworks
Understanding of relational databases and modern data systems
Experience with GitHub / GitHub Actions or comparable version control tools
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
Strong understanding of web security principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Located in Charlotte, North Carolina
Preferred
Experience with Python, Golang, Java, or Ruby
Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
Experience working in a startup, healthcare, or regulated environment
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
