AWS Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services, supporting enterprise-scale workloads
Collaborate closely with cloud architects, application teams, and security partners to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions following AWS best practices
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using infrastructure-as-code and scripting approaches
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and system issues in a globally distributed cloud environment
Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives. (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and continuous improvement efforts across the AWS team
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of designing, building, and supporting solutions on AWS, including concepts such as compute, networking, and storage
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and/or application issues across a complex global environment
Working knowledge of platforms like GitHub and Azure DevOps to manage code, automate builds, and support reliable deployment workflows
Experience developing automated solutions to deploy infrastructure or applications using scripting and configuration languages such as PowerShell, Python, JSON, and YAML
Basic familiarity with incident & vulnerability management, logs analysis, and monitoring

Preferred
Relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience supporting AWS cloud services
AWS Associate level certification(s) or greater
Technical curiosity, actively exploring new approaches to improve solutions with minimal supervision
Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed
Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in problem solving and customer service skills
