Nexteer Automotive is focused on selecting students with high potential to provide them with real-world work experiences. The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Summer Intern will work directly with the Global Director of EH&S to support global safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

Support global EH&S initiatives, programs, and strategic projects led by the Global Director of EH&S

Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting related to safety metrics, environmental performance, and compliance

Help prepare presentations, dashboards, and reports for leadership reviews and global meetings

Participate in audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses related to safety and environmental programs

Support development and standardization of EH&S procedures, training materials, and communications

Collaborate with site-level EH&S teams and cross-functional partners as needed

Assist with special projects related to continuous improvement, regulatory requirements, and sustainability initiatives

Conduct the 20th annual Ergonomics Cup Competition across all global manufacturing facilities

Required

Candidate must be attending a four-year university

Candidate must be studying Bachelor's in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or related), or a closely related field

Candidate must be able to work 40 hours in the summer

Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale

Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters

Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
