Controls Automation Lead
Tyson Foods is seeking an individual contributor with expertise in financial accounting and technology to modernize their control environment. The role focuses on transitioning to technology-enabled controls through automation and data-driven analytics to enhance compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Reconstruct business process controls to maximize reliance on configuration-based automations and reduce dependency on error prone‑ manual activities
Implement tools such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence stack (AI), and predictive analytics models to modernize, strengthen and streamline control processes
Champion adoption of continuous, data‑driven monitoring to proactively identify anomalies and emerging risks
Partner with IT and business teams to ensure controls compliance around data completeness, accuracy and governance for all SOX relevant data sources and reporting
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to assess control design of new initiatives, systems, and/or process changes (e.g. Clarity projects)
Assist in SAP GRC Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis, maintenance and mitigation reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required
3+ years of experience in financial accounting, data analytics, audit, IT compliance or comparable experience
Experience with automation and analytics technologies (e.g., RPA tools, python, PowerBI, Palantir, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), agentic AI, PowerAutomate, etc.)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail
Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the company's values
Preferred
Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA) and/or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) strongly preferred
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance requirements, SAP and strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP strongly preferred
