American Equity is a company that offers leading annuity products to empower clients for retirement. They are seeking an Application Developer I to support projects that enhance their digital services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize their New Business workflow platform using low code/no code solutions.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Gain experience in low code/no code technology

Works with stakeholders to understand business requirements that are translated into technical solutions

Assists in the design of user interactions

Collaborates across time zones via video conferencing and software such as MS Teams, Jira, and GitHub

Completes project and support tasks with guidance from mentor and department leader

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Completed Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience or desire to learn about low code/no code technology

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions

Learn quickly when faced with new challenges and situations; analyze success and failures

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Working knowledge of APIs

Good analytical skills with ability to research issues and products

Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties

Preferred

Knowledge in the following areas would be a plus; Usage of Postman, CSS design, Creating Documentation

Experience in cloud infrastructure solutions (such as MongoDB, DataDog) is a plus
