InternLonza is a global leader in life sciences, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join their Engineering team in Bend, OR. The intern will support the mechanical engineering, automation, and fabrication team with various tasks including design updates and basic fabrication.

Responsibilities
Support the mechanical engineering, automation, and fabrication team, helping with the design, installation, repair, and modification of pharmaceutical processing and facility equipment
Work tasks may include: 2D / 3D CAD drawing updates and design, basic fabrication using hand and power tools, fabrication and electrical / instrumentation shop organization (6S activities), coordination with engineers, machinists, and fabricators to assemble and deliver custom equipment to support internal customers
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at a college or university or a recent graduate in a Scientific/Engineering field, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering
Enthusiastic about the biopharmaceutical industry and learning about industry technology
Strong Interest in working on multiple projects at once in a fast paced environment
Excellent attention to detail as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Knowledge of 3D CAD, (SolidWorks preferred)
Knowledge of 2D CAD, (DraftSight / AutoCAD) a plus
Knowledge of basic hand, power, and manual machine tools (mill and lathe) is a plus
Displays good problem-solving skills
Exhibits time management skills
