Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based ETL workflows for extracting, transforming, and loading student data into Workday Student
Ensure scalability, repeatability, and accuracy of ETL processes
Extract, cleanse, and transform student, academic, and administrative data from legacy systems
Support iterative test migrations and reconcile results to ensure data consistency
Document data mapping logic, transformation rules, and migration processes
Establish validation protocols to confirm the accuracy of migrated data across systems
Identify and resolve data integrity and quality issues before and after migration
Partner with functional stakeholders to ensure records align with institutional requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT colleagues, and external vendors to align migration strategy with project timelines
Provide data insights and technical support to project leadership
Supervise and mentor the Junior IT Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist assigned to the project
Share best practices in SQL, ETL, and data management
Qualification
Required
Advanced experience writing and optimizing SQL for ETL and large-scale data migration
Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation methodologies
Experience designing scalable and repeatable ETL workflows
Ability to identify and resolve complex data integrity issues
Experience documenting technical processes and migration frameworks
Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors
Experience providing mentorship or supervisory guidance to junior team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
