Responsibilities

Design switch mode power supllies and/or motor drive applications (demo and evaluation)
Debug circuits and applications
Simulate power electronics circuits
Test competitive products
Modify/enhance existing designs
Help customers with their designs
Collaborate with development team to enhance existing/future designs from an application standpoint

Qualification

AC-to-DC converter designDC-to-DC converter designPower electronics lab experienceSpice simulationMatlab/SimulinkEmbedded controls softwareBSEEMSEEDiode characteristicsMOSFET characteristicsDriver IC characteristics

Required

BSEE, MSEE preferred, or equivalent years of experience
Experience in AC-to-DC and/or DC-to-DC converter design, including detailed analysis of system efficiency and power loss breakdown, thermal analysis and debugging
Proficient in Diode, MOSFET & Driver IC characteristics
Spice simulation of power switching circuits; Matlab/Simulink desirable
Embedded controls software desirable
General power electronics lab experience (oscilloscope, power supplies, isolation)
