Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day purchasing and replenishment execution for an assigned portfolio of ~5–6 domestic tire vendors
Validate that vendors received prior-day purchase orders and reconcile any mismatches across data sets
Place replenishment orders and special buys as needed, following documented SOPs and established controls
Use Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic data consolidation) to match, analyze, and troubleshoot order and shipment data issues
Monitor order status to ensure POs load correctly in the system, transmit to vendors, and align through shipping/receiving
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor customer service teams—set expectations, request changes/cancellations, and drive timely resolutions
Support distribution centers with inbound delivery issues (e.g., missing trucks/appointments, system/data gaps) by coordinating with vendors and DC teams
Qualification
Required
Strong Excel proficiency, including building and using VLOOKUPs to match datasets and pivot tables to consolidate and reconcile data
Demonstrated data analysis skills with the ability to troubleshoot mismatches, think logically, and identify root causes beyond initial instructions
Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while staying calm under workload pressure
Experience coordinating with external partners (e.g., vendor/customer service contacts), setting expectations, and driving timely resolution of issues
Comfort working within structured processes and controls, following documented SOPs, and learning new systems/tool
Preferred
Exposure to order execution and reconciliation work—placing/validating orders, ensuring data loads correctly, and monitoring shipping/receiving status (1–2 years preferred, but not required)
Benefits
A team environment with clear, documented processes (SOPs) and structured onboarding with cross-training across the group
Hybrid schedule expectation for local candidates: typically 3 days in-office (often early in the week), with flexibility on which days as needed
Flexible start/end times within reason once you're ramped up and able to work independently
Growth opportunity to take on more responsibility over time, including potential conversion from contract to full-time as openings become available
