Responsibilities
Drive legacy modernization , including re-platforming Java workloads, decomposing monolithic systems into services/APIs, and modernizing integration patterns
Evaluate and design AI/GenAI use cases for operational platforms—examples include code modernization, document processing, operational intelligence, and developer productivity accelerators
Champion modern engineering practices: API-first design
Event-driven architecture
CI/CD automation
DevSecOps adoption
Container-based deployments (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
Stay current with emerging technology trends , particularly within Java ecosystems, cloud services (Azure/GCP), and AI tooling relevant to banking operations
Partner with Principal & Lead Architects to define and evolve enterprise target-state architectures
Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems aligned to enterprise standards and business priorities
Provide architectural solutions and produce required artifacts for audit and compliance for architecture JIRA tickets
Participate in architecture assessments and solution design across multiple initiatives
Support governance, compliance, and risk processes in all architectural decision-making
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in systems or enterprise architecture (or equivalent via work, training, or education)
Hands-on experience with architecture methodologies and tools such as: ArchiMate, BizzDesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, draw.io, UML, TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
Strong expertise in Azure and/or GCP cloud platforms
Experience with container technologies: OpenShift, Kubernetes
Exposure to BPM, API ecosystems, case management, decision engines, or AI-driven architectures is a strong plus
Preferred
Strong aptitude for navigating ambiguity and independently uncovering solutions
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience in agile environments and working with cross-functional teams
Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Familiarity with technology standards such as: ISO/IEC 27034 – Application Security, NIST SP 800-218 – Secure Software Development Framework
