Gas Utility Project Manager/Engineer

They are seeking an experienced Gas Utility Project Manager / Engineer to oversee multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure the successful execution of gas utility infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Lead gas utility projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within scope, and within budget
Oversee day-to-day project execution while ensuring compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior designers, engineers, and support staff
Coordinate and perform QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables
Prepare and present project status updates, including identification of risks and mitigation strategies
Review, interpret, and troubleshoot design plans for linear utility infrastructure projects
Assist with preparing and submitting federal, state, county, and municipal permit applications
Promote a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of experience in gas utility engineering and/or design
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, tracking, coordination, and delivery
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD required
Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office; MS Project experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Willingness to travel to project sites (20%–40%) and occasionally work outside traditional hours when needed
Ability to communicate and coordinate with internal leadership and external stakeholders including clients and agencies, etc
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
MS Project experience is a plus
