Responsibilities

Teach courses in digital media, such as Visual Communication Fundamentals, Usability and Human Interaction, Content Management Systems, Capstone, Digital Design Seminar
Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and the integration of emerging digital media trends and practices into academic offerings
Oversee the instruction of specific courses within the curriculum. Responsibilities include supporting the CPS Operations in the selection of part-time instructors, advising on syllabi, and evaluating part-time instructor performance
Mentor and advise students, guiding them in their academic and professional development
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners, staying current on the latest digital media trends and best practices
Create professional development opportunities for full and part-time faculty in the unit
Serve on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University
Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development

Required

A terminal degree from an accredited institution in a major area of digital media or a closely related field, including graphic design, fine arts, digital marketing, or game design or development, by appointment start date
Demonstrated experience as a practitioner within the broader digital media community
Demonstrated professional, marketing and managerial skills in an applied, technology-based environment
Strong teaching abilities and a dedication to continued improvement as an educator
Experience teaching at the master's level
Developing on ground and online courses
Proven success in working with international students

Preferred

Experience mentoring students with a wide variety of backgrounds and prior educational experiences
Experience with online course delivery, facilitation, and innovative use of technology in support of learning
