They are seeking an intern for the Summer of 2026 to support research in areas such as Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, utilizing simulation tools to model vehicle responses in high-speed environments.

Responsibilities
Support research in their area of study and/or interest ranging from Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and more
Utilize in-house and commercial simulation tools to model vehicle responses in high-speed, high-temperature environments
Execute and post-process simulation results, prepare briefs, and present results to the team
Include both direct analysis and development tasks supporting modeling and simulation efforts
Qualification
Required
Candidate should be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to work for any employer
Student must be pursuing a degree (Graduate or Undergraduate) in a related discipline
Internship requires students to be available to work in Huntsville, AL for the summer
Preferred
Proficiency in one or more languages (Python, Fortran, C/C+) is desired
Preferred candidates will demonstrate knowledge and interest in one or more of the following areas: compressible flow, heat transfer, thermodynamics, numerical methods, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Background consisting of late-undergraduate to graduate level is preferred
Typical Degrees hired will include: Aerospace Engineering (Graduate and Undergraduate), Mechanical Engineering (Graduate and Undergraduate), Other similar Engineering (Graduate and Undergraduate) Disciplines
