Responsibilities
Analyze engineering drawings and specifications
Select optimal machines and develop detailed process plans for high-complexity components
Plan multi-axis machining strategies to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability
Program, set up, and operate 5-axis milling and turning centers, including Mazak (Mazatrol 5-Axis, Smooth CNC) and Integrex e-V platforms
Read, interpret, and modify G-Code and M-Code
Utilize Mazatrol conversational and ISO programming methods
Implement probing cycles, conduct first-piece inspections, and adjust post-processors as required
Optimize toolpaths for surface finish, accuracy, and cycle time reduction
Design, fabricate, and install custom fixtures and workholding solutions for complex 5-axis setups
Ensure fixtures support part geometry and tolerance requirements
Perform full machine setups from raw material through final production
Execute build-to-print manufacturing using process documentation
Select appropriate tooling, hand tools, and auxiliary equipment to complete jobs efficiently
Interpret and apply ANSI Y14.5 (1982 & 1994) Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing standards
Validate tolerance stack-ups and critical feature requirements
Utilize CMMs, Renishaw touch-trigger and laser probing systems, laser scanners, micrometers, and calipers
Configure and execute in-process probing cycles for part verification
Analyze probe data to evaluate part loading, offset adjustments, and configuration accuracy
Document measurement and inspection results
Identify opportunities to improve tooling, programming strategies, and manufacturability
Recommend cycle time reductions and quality enhancements
Rework non-conforming parts, production tooling, probing systems, and machines as required
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating Mazak 5-Axis (Mazatrol & Smooth CNC)
Minimum 5+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating Integrex e-V multi-tasking machines
Minimum 5+ years of experience in 5-axis milling and turning operations, including toolpath optimization
Minimum 2+ years of experience configuring and executing Renishaw touch-trigger and laser probing cycles
Minimum 2+ years of experience analyzing probe data for part positioning, offset adjustments, and configuration verification
Strong proficiency in G-Code/M-Code interpretation and modification
Advanced knowledge of GD&T and complex drawing interpretation
Ability to commute to Orlando, FL 32819
Preferred
Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
Experience with ultra-tight tolerance components
Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
