Responsibilities

Support strategic initiatives that attract, retain, and grow local businesses
Combine analytical expertise with innovative thinking to help shape programs that drive economic vitality and business development
Support programs that strengthen the City’s tax base, create quality jobs, and foster sustainable growth
Collaborate with internal teams, business leaders, and community stakeholders to advance economic development goals
Prepare clear, actionable reports and recommendations that influence decision-making

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary, and similar analyses
Valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurance under the City's vehicle insurance policy

Preferred

Experience in a governmental agency
Strong communication skills
Relationship-building abilities
Expertise in financial and operational analysis
Strong understanding of economic development strategies
Proficiency in financial modeling, budget preparation, and data analysis
Expertise in business retention and expansion programs
Expertise in workforce development initiatives
