Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Apache Kafka clusters (MSK/Confluent)
Develop and maintain Kafka Connect integrations with various source and sink systems
Build and optimize Kafka Streams applications
Manage and maintain Schema Registry for data governance and compatibility
Integrate Kafka pipelines with AWS Cloud services and Data Lake architectures
Ensure high availability, scalability, performance tuning, and monitoring
Implement security best practices and access controls for Kafka environments
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to support real-time data initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with MSK and/or Confluent Platform
Kafka Connect, Streams, and Schema Registry expertise
Experience working in AWS Cloud environments
Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
Experience integrating Kafka with data lakes or analytics platforms
