Responsibilities

Analyze and document structural integrity for helicopter systems and components
Perform structural analysis of metallic and composite structures using hand calculations, FEA, and computer-aided methods
Conduct static, dynamic, fatigue, and vibration analyses on rotorcraft components
Support flight strain surveys, instrumentation, and data analysis
Research and develop material specifications and fabrication processes for optimal performance
Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to define specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials
Prepare test plans, reports, and certification documentation aligned with FAA and company standards
Collaborate across design, manufacturing, quality, and certification teams

Required

Bachelor's in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
6–8 years in structural/materials analysis for aerospace applications
Strong knowledge of rotorcraft flight loads, composite and metallic structures, and failure analysis
Proficiency with tools like MATHCAD, UG NX, NASTRAN/FEMAP
Familiarity with FAA certification requirements

Preferred

Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
FAA Structures DER certification
