Associate Manager, Communications

Responsibilities
Partners with the Comms Manager in the development and implementation of U.S. communication plans while helping to influence overall brand communication initiatives and leading execution of integrated communications calendar for U.S.-focused client groups for internal audiences (HQ, corporate, franchisees, restaurant leaders, and general managers)
Serves as partner for communication projects and programs – guided by established U.S. communications priorities – including planning, content development and distribution via internal platforms (like the intranet, emails and more)
Manage the weekly Running the Business newsletter for U.S. restaurants, franchisees, home offices and above restaurant leaders
Responsible for U.S. brand calls/livestreams to inform, inspire and engage with the system while ensuring business priorities and results are clearly communicated
Work closely with Comms Lead to bring U.S. Franchise Strategy to life across all internal platforms and big franchise moments/meetings
Be available outside of standard business hours to lead communications in urgent/crisis situations
Qualification
Required
Four-year degree or higher in a Communications-related field
At least 7 years of experience in communications or journalism
Able to quickly and decisively take action in fast-changing, unpredictable situations
Experienced at building relationships and managing clients and partners at all levels of the organizations (including Executives)
Strong project management and communication skills to direct and align key stakeholders in the content development and production process
Skilled at measuring the audience/user experience to drive engagement and insights-driven decision making around communications effectiveness
Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, intellectually curious
Excellent writing and editing skills
Proficient script writing and video editing skills
Familiar with intranets, web-based content management, Microsoft Systems (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Creative suite
