Senior People Business Partner
Axiom Space is a human space exploration company, building era-defining space infrastructure and delivering technology-driven solutions. They are seeking an experienced Senior People Business Partner to develop and maintain consultative partnerships with company leaders and execute end-to-end delivery of People & Culture operations, processes, and services.

Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all People & Culture related matters, offering guidance and expertise to stakeholders across the organization
Collaborate closely with leadership to gain insights into business objectives, facilitating the development of people and culture-based strategies, aligned with organizational goals
Partner with various People centers of excellence, including compensation, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, and learning and development, to deliver cohesive People & Culture solutions and initiatives
Work with department heads to develop internal and external talent pipelines, emphasizing our commitment to building a high-performance workforce
Utilize P&C metrics and conduct trends analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations for enhancing employee engagement and retention
Conduct ongoing input on departmental procedures to ensure compliance, consistency and effectiveness among employees
Interpret company policies and conduct investigations into complaints while offering guidance and consultation to management
Offer day-to-day agile performance management guidance to line management, including feedback, coaching/mentoring, counseling, career development, and progressive discipline
Provide input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning, collaborating with stakeholders to drive organizational effectiveness
Collaborate with management and employees to address performance or behavioral issues through documentation, goal setting, solution development, and corrective actions, including termination as necessary
Enhance People & Culture service delivery to improve the employee experience while cultivating employee relationships and engagement through proactive initiatives
Facilitate the development and implementation of action plans and People & Culture projects in partnership with the management team to boost employee engagement
Proficient in managing FMLA, unpaid and paid leave, and reviewing and processing ADA accommodation requests ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Lead and support change initiatives across the organization
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through proactive communication, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives
Perform additional job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in human resources or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a HR Business Partner role
Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations challenges
Thorough understanding of all areas of HR specifically in how the function makes a line of business successful utilizing talent management programs
Maintains in-depth, working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Proficiency with HR information systems
Must be credible and approachable working effectively with employees at all levels while remaining tactful and persuasive in time of uncertainty or in complex situations
Highly organized and detail oriented; able to juggle, prioritize, and keep track of multiple tasks and projects
Must have the ability to effectively envision, develop, gain consensus, and implement innovative solutions that address complex people business matters
Ability to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision, and make and communicate the rationale behind key decisions in a constantly evolving fast-paced work environment
Strong project skills with a high level of intuition and judgment to take on ownership of projects ad hoc and drive them from beginning to end
Must have a “can do” attitude – no job is too big or small, a problem solver that gets the work done
Understands effective coaching and change management techniques
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, and written communication skills
Demonstrates critical thinking by actively and skillfully listening, analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing information from multiple sources and perspectives to reach an effective solution

Preferred
MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field
Experience with Workday preferred
Experience in start-up environment preferred
SPHR, SHRM-SCP or PHR, preferred
