They are currently seeking a Health and Safety Intern to assist the HSE Department with various projects aimed at improving Dewberry’s Health, Safety and Environment Program while gaining valuable experience alongside seasoned professionals.

Responsibilities
Conduct office and field safety inspections and assist with documenting observations and corrective actions
Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments
Assist in the development and review of safety programs, procedures, and training materials
Support incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions
Collect and analyze safety-related data to calculate performance metrics and identify trends
Participate in safety training, new hire onboarding, and safety committees
Assist with development of safety toolbox talks and Activity Hazard Analyses (and/or Job Hazard Analysis)
Contribute to special EHS and operational projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Training, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
Seeking a career in the occupational safety, industrial hygiene, risk, or training field
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work in both office and field environments
