Sr Infrastructure IT Project Manager

Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end leadership of large, business-critical IT projects, ensuring alignment with executive expectations and enterprise strategy
Engage, influence, and manage senior stakeholders, including directors, VPs, and cross-functional leadership teams, ensuring clear communication, timely escalations, and well-informed decision-making
Develop and maintain comprehensive communication plans, ensuring consistent, transparent, and effective updates to senior management and key stakeholders
Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, providing insights on risks, mitigation strategies, and project health
Lead all phases of project execution—from initiation and planning to delivery and closure—using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate
Utilize the PPM tool for project reporting, executive dashboards, resource forecasting, and overall governance management
Build and manage complex project schedules, dependencies, and workstreams, ensuring timely delivery through strong oversight and proactive issue resolution
Lead structured risk assessment and mitigation planning at both tactical and strategic levels, ensuring early detection and escalation of risks that may impact senior leadership priorities
Manage the resolution of complex issues requiring coordination across multiple senior teams and business units
Support and drive organizational change, ensuring adoption of new processes, technologies, and standards across highly visible initiatives
Partner extensively with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align expectations, and ensure seamless execution across technical and business groups
Develop, maintain, and promote project management standards and best practices, playing an active role in uplifting PMO maturity across the organization
Network with senior internal and external stakeholders to support solutioning, governance, and best-practice adoption
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 7–10 years of IT project management experience (or 5+ years with a master's degree) successfully delivering high-risk, high-visibility initiatives with strong executive involvement
Demonstrated ability to lead senior stakeholders, resolve conflicts diplomatically, and influence outcomes in a matrixed, senior-level environment
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to executive audiences
PMP certification required
Strong grounding in recognized project management methodologies, planning, and risk management techniques
Proven experience in operational IT environments and managing large-scale Infrastructure programs (data center, network, server)
Experience with application development and the software development lifecycle
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Scrum Master or similar agile certifications preferred
Proficiency with ServiceNow PPM is a strong advantage
