Responsibilities
Deliver Level-2 and Level-3 technical support for the Citrix/XenApp server environment, including VDI stacks and end-user sessions
Monitor VDI platform performance using a variety of client tools, including Netscaler and ControlUp
Ensure all Citrix platform server systems are updated with current software patches
Administer and support the XenDesktop Broker, including VDI monitoring and alerting for Citrix/VMware applications responsible for virtual desktop and application delivery
Deploy and support core Microsoft services, including Active Directory (AD), ADFS, DNS & DHCP, WSUS, and Group Policy
Handle IT-VDI related requests and inquiries received by the client helpdesk
Ensure virtual sessions are performing as intended to maintain high levels of client satisfaction
Address all technical inquiries regarding VDI and Citrix architecture
Participate in client meetings to provide status updates and collaborate on technical solutions
Strictly adhere to all CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) requirements
Ensure all work is conducted within designated workspaces as specified in the approved Technology Control Plan (TCP) or granted by the Office of Export Control and Research Security (ECRS)
Utilize Granite Secure VDI to view, store, process, or transmit regulated research data from onsite or approved remote locations (CMMC v2: PE.L2-3.10.6)
Maintain physical security best practices, ensuring screens are not visible through windows or open doors and that workstations are locked when unattended
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp
5+ years of experience with XenServer Administration
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers
5+ years of experience with Citrix App Layering
Active Citrix Administrator certification is required
Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
Preferred
Proven experience troubleshooting complex systems, identifying root causes, and creating effective action plans for resolution
Extensive experience working within large-scale, complex VDI environments
