Responsibilities
Conduct rigorous dynamometer tests on fired and non-fired powertrain components in accordance with Ford Racing standards
Execute the installation of powertrains into the test cell, including the preparation of all subsystems (fuel, exhaust, lubrication, cooling) and instrumentation
Utilize test cell control software (AVL Puma) to manage testing cycles and ensure data integrity
Install, calibrate, and maintain complex measurement instruments, including pressure transducers, thermocouples, and flow meters
Manage the data workflow: collection, storage, and extraction of test results for delivery to the engineering team
Ensure instrumentation validity via regular calibration, replacement, and spot checks
Support the investigation of testing failures, performing engine servicing, hardware replacements, and on-the-fly instrumentation repairs
Fabricate test fixtures and custom instrumentation solutions to solve immediate technical challenges
Manage the logistics of receiving, storing, and palletizing engines and inventorying components
Collaborate with the engineering team to update test procedures based on evolving testing needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment (5S standards)

Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology/Engineering OR High School Diploma with 5+ years of equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
3+ years of dedicated race or high-performance powertrain testing experience
Strong understanding of internal combustion engine theory, mechanics, and systems
Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes with the ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
Expertise using measurement instruments (pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters)
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Experience with test cell control, data collection, and data visualization software
Experience with fired and non-fired powertrain components
Hands-on experience with AVL Puma, Concerto, and Indicom
Flexible work schedule, including occasional evening or weekend shifts as needs dictate
Possess a competitive spirit, can-do attitude, and interest in motorsports
Preferred
Ability to fabricate fixtures and solve mechanical problems with limited resources
Experience with data visualization software
