Responsibilities
Advanced Configuration: Independently lead the analysis, design, build, and optimization of complex Epic workflows, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
Project Leadership: Serve as the application lead for medium-to-large projects, including upgrades, new feature rollouts, and workflow redesign initiatives
Expert Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary escalation point for Level 1-2 analysts to resolve high-complexity technical issues and perform in-depth root cause analysis
Strategic Partnership: Partner with clinical and operational leadership to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions that improve efficiency and patient safety
Mentorship & Quality: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff while maintaining rigorous documentation and testing standards
Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise)
Perform all other tasks as assigned
Architect complex PB functionalities, including charge router logic, ERA posting, and payer-specific billing rules
Lead workflow redesign sessions with operational leaders to reduce denials and optimize professional billing revenue performance
Manage high-complexity integrations between PB, HB, SBO, and external coding modules
Conduct advanced root-cause analysis for recurring PB denials, claim rejections, and sophisticated balancing errors
Qualification
Required
Generally requires 7 to 9 years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical, or related field
High School diploma is required
Epic certification in assigned specialty area is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
