They are seeking Bachelor level interns to provide support in various departments, including case management, patient interaction, and human resources, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the mental health field.

Responsibilities
Provide short-term case management services focused on supporting individuals as they transition from inpatient settings back into the community
Shadow case managers in community-based settings to better understand service coordination and client engagement in real-world environments
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support collaborative care planning and continuity of services
Assist staff with public education and outreach efforts in the community, including presentations and informational sessions at senior housing sites and senior centers
Engage in regular patient interaction, including facilitating therapeutic groups and conducting routine safety checks to support a structured and secure treatment environment
Participate in team meetings, including virtual meetings via Teams, to collaborate on patient care and treatment planning
Arrange appointments and coordinate care, as well as maintain consistent communication with outside providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and comprehensive support for patients
Educate patients about their insurance benefits and assist with Medicaid applications to support individuals seeking treatment
Gain experience in insurance verification, navigating the practice management system, and conducting eligibility reviews for uninsured individuals to help facilitate access to needed services
Evaluate candidate resumes and identify key strengths and areas of concern
Draft and send outreach (“cold call”) emails to potential candidates to encourage applications and engagement
Review completed workplace investigations and craft thoughtful, original responses to the situations presented to strengthen analytical and decision-making skills
Participate in mock meetings to practice leading employee relations discussions, such as corrective action, termination, and conflict resolution conversations
Shadow HR staff during appropriate meetings, including sexual harassment trainings and exit interviews, and assist with other relevant HR tasks based on their interests and departmental needs
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled at an accredited university
Receiving credit for the internship
Be able to commute to the office as these are not remote internships
All internships are unpaid, and we do require flu vaccinations
Due to the limited number of openings Internships are not guaranteed to all who apply
This internship requires a valid driver's license
