HFI, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining efficient processes for assigned products. The role involves troubleshooting process-related issues, providing technical expertise, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

Establish and optimize process parameters for existing and new product lines in order to implement and maintain the most efficient process with the focus on improving: Process Efficiency, Scrap, Rework and Overtime
Analysis of production process parameters (i.e. for foam: chemical temperatures, chemical pressures, ratio etc.) to maintain production and quality standard, improve process efficiency and reducing process variation in order to reduce scrap and eliminate rework
Lead systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving activity on complex manufacturing processes and systems in order to improve product quality
Support the Engineering Change Process (HFI ECN Process) as needed including modification of Production Tooling & Fixtures, Capital, Operations Standards, PFMEA, Process Flow Charts and other HFI Process Documentation
Lead the transition of New Model Activity to Mass Production with the Project Engineer and Program Launch Manager for all assigned product lines and ensure that all relevant issues are captured and communicated to the appropriate program team members. Lead or support new products and process development activities and trial builds
Generation and championing implementation of multiple Continuous Improvement Ideas on existing product lines on a consistent basis throughout the year
Provide on-the-floor presence and expertise to address daily process and equipment issues

Required

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong data collection and analytics capabilities
Strong root cause analysis skills
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Databases)
Core Tool knowledge and expertise include: APQP/PPAP/MSA/FMEA/SPC
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent working experience in a fast-paced diverse environment preferably in automotive manufacturing

Preferred

Machine electrical controls and programming experience
Auto-CAD experience
Experience with foam in place process
