The intern will assist with various continuous improvement projects, facilitate workshops, conduct time studies, and support safety and health initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities
Assist with continuous improvement projects, including facilitating workshops and supporting process and safety improvement initiatives
Responsible for facilitating continuous improvement and Kaizen events
Conduct time studies to support balancing of production line labor
Provide support in various Safety & Health projects relating to analytics and risk assessments in a manufacturing setting
Assist in the preparation and performance of safety meetings and training programs
Conduct work area safety inspections and audits with special emphasis on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors and suggested corrections
Qualification
Required
Students currently enrolled in a degree program for Process Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience working with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks
Ability to multi-task, adapt in our environment and change priorities quickly if assembly needs dictate
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and function
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Analytical and problem solving skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Lean Belt experience/certification preferred
Knowledge of and ability to successfully apply Six Sigma tools and methodology is a plus
