Responsibilities

Install, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments
Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning
Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control
Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity
Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools
Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness
Conduct system audits and enforce DoD security requirements
Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance
Must have a BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with two (5+) years of experience or an AA with seven (7+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment
IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification
Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements

Preferred

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
