Responsibilities

Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis, and other Quality related tasks
Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches and lead cost reduction actions in current production vehicles
Support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific subsystems and work closely with Supplier partners for subsystem components to address quality concerns
Lead engineering trials and the implementation of running changes for the sub-system -Issue engineering Alerts and initiate and/or pursue authorization of engineering Concerns for product changes to support Quality objectives
Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product Quality
Maintain sub-system or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level Quality documents
Make presentations to various levels of upper management (weekly VRT report out, Vehicle Quality Reviews, Engineering Managers reviews)
Travel as needed to support prototype vehicle builds and supplier production readiness reviews over the next 6-12 months

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
2+ years experience in the Design, Manufacture, or Systems Integration of Electric Vehicle Controls, Propulsion, or High Voltage Battery systems

Preferred

Product Launch Experience
Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support quick decision making
Familiarity with CAD systems and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Technological literacy and ability to learn vehicle diagnostic software
