Responsibilities
Become acquainted with chemical and biological testing performed in the five laboratory sections housed within the Consumer Protection Laboratory
Learn the complete process of how samples are submitted to the laboratory from regulatory and compliance programs in SCDA through receipt within the laboratory, ensuring proper chain of custody, and ultimately on to testing and provision of test results back to the submitting regulatory/compliance program
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior or attending graduate school for the 2026-2027 academic year
Preferred
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, MS Power Point and Outlook email and Outlook calendar
Basic knowledge and understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures
Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
Good oral and written communication skills
