Grants Program Manager
Climate Science Alliance is seeking a Grants Program Manager to oversee their Invest Program, which funds community projects and supports individuals through grants and fellowships. The role involves managing the grant application process, building relationships with community partners, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements while supporting awardees in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate the organization’s Invest Program, focused on investing in community efforts in a way that meets both community needs and organizational goals
Manage the annual giving cycle from beginning to end, including preparing and overseeing the application process and ensuring fulfillment of final deliverables and reporting requirements
Draft contracts for all funds awarded, including finalizing scopes with recipients of funding and ensuring that the legal, organizational, and program requirements from all key stakeholders are met
Monitor and support funded activities, organize site visits and engage with awardees multiple times over the course of each project to both build meaningful partnerships and receive updates on project progress and deliverables
Clearly and actively communicate Invest program activities with the rest of the Climate Science Alliance team and pursue opportunities for cooperation and collaboration among programs
Encourage honest, thoughtful conversations with partners to identify places they need support throughout the grant cycle
Oversee the Invest program budget, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources
Pursue partnerships and funding opportunities to support the program annual giving cycle. Collect stories, photos, metrics, and other information from funded projects to share with broader audiences
Support the development team fundraising efforts for the program and the broader mission and vision of Climate Science Alliance
Actively make and maintain long-term relationships with awardees, building community ties that last beyond closeout of single grant cycles
Actively support, nurture, and maintain relationships with funders, inviting them to awardee events when possible and appropriate; communicating short- and long-term goals; and sharing stories and successes
Identify and pursue connections between Invest and other programs (e.g. inviting partners to events, providing insight into how regrantees fit into other initiatives, etc.)
Engage with the broader community to stay aware of community-led efforts and identify potential partners, funders, and grantees
Contribute to programs and events by participating in planning and providing on-site event support as needed
Provide technical and logistical support to external partners as assigned

Qualification
Required
A B.A./B.S. (or equivalent work experience) in a related field, such as nonprofit management, public administration, environmental science, etc
5+ years of experience in grant administration, foundation work, or nonprofit program management
Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating grantmaking strategies
Existing connections with local communities, especially with underserved or sensitive populations, with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
Strong relationship management skills, with ability to act as a bridge between donors and grantees, building trust and maintaining confidentiality
Strong compliance knowledge, with an understanding of federal, state, and local regulations regarding grant agreements and charitable contributions
Strong contractual, budgeting, and program management skills
Comfortable in a diverse range of community spaces, with ability to converse and connect with individuals from a variety of disciplines, cultures and backgrounds
Familiarity with environmental conservation and restoration practices and a basic understanding of climate change and impacts
Proficient in the following platforms or similar: Adobe, MS Office (Excel, Word), and G-Suite

Preferred
Spanish language fluency
An advanced degree in nonprofit management or a related professional certification (Such as GPC)
Experience with Notion or similar project management software
Experience working with or knowledge of International and Indigenous communities
