Maintenance Technician I - 1st or 2nd Shift
Howmet Aerospace is a company focused on aerospace manufacturing and operations. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician I responsible for performing maintenance and repair of production and facility equipment while ensuring a safe workplace and promoting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
Install and/or maintain varied types of machinery and other equipment
Confer with Machine Operators and observe, listen for problems, test, and evaluate operation of machinery to diagnose cause of malfunctions
Disassemble damaged or worn equipment/units, repair/replace defective components, reassemble, and test
Weld new, worn, or broken machine parts
Fabricate sheet metal products such as covers, part chutes, chain/gear guards, stands, platforms, etc
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Check oil, water, fuel, and other fluids before operating machinery and equipment
Records repair time, parts, and maintenance notes in the Maintenance Management System on every job
Maintain 100% compliance and completion of all required training
Demonstrate a knowledge of and commitment to learn manufacturing principles and techniques
Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards
Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance
Understand, read and write Standard English and perform shop math calculations
Mechanical aptitude and ability
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics. Use scales, vernier calipers, micrometers, and other gages
Operate mobile equipment, power shears, benders, grinders, powered hand and machine tools and related equipment
Perform arc and acetylene welding
Identify components in manufacturers' maintenance and parts manuals
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
