Sales Development Representative, Materials Science
Schrödinger is a leader in computational chemistry software and services for materials science and drug discovery, seeking an ambitious Sales Development Representative to improve human health through advanced computational methods. The role involves identifying, qualifying, and developing new software and services leads across various industries, while collaborating with multiple teams within the company.

Responsibilities
Generate and qualify new business leads by researching prospects, conducting outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn, social media)
Execute 50-100 activities per day (combination of cold outreach)
Generate a minimum of two sales accepted leads per week (eight per month)
Collect and collate lead data from sales campaigns
Drive top-of-funnel activities like prospecting, lead generation, qualification, and pipeline management
Build initial relationships and educate prospects about the company's value proposition
Manage a pipeline of interested prospects and record all activities in the CRM system to track account activities and progress
Work closely with marketing (for lead quality) and Global Portfolio Leaders (GPLs) (for handoff) to align efforts and grow the sales pipeline, acting as a crucial bridge between marketing and sales
Schedule discovery calls or product demos at conferences and tradeshows
Research addressable market segments for Schrödinger’s software product and service offerings
Expand your knowledge of the industry and the competitive position of the company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or a related science
A team-oriented sales development representative (SDR), or aspiring salesperson, with a science or business background
A proactive candidate with a ‘hunter' mindset
A customer-oriented problem-solver who can identify prospects within an organization and arrange introductory meetings
A self-sufficient multi-tasker who can perform well under pressure
