Internal - Process Technician - Mixing

Responsibilities
Supports the Process Engineer in the Mixing area by driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on process stabilization, cost and waste reduction, and variance control through methodologies such as Six Sigma, TPM, TQM, and Kaizen
This role monitors performance trends, leads problem-solving efforts, supports troubleshooting and project implementation, maintains process documentation and controls, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards
Support the Process Engineer in Mixing area by improving processes with respect to stabilization, cost reduction, and variance reduction within the department with special focus on the continuous improvement projects, Six Sigma, TQM, and TPM
Actively participate in monitoring and improving processes throughout the areas
Utilize continuous improvement skills and work on continuous improvement of systems and processes within the area of responsibilities with focus on process improvement and cost
Monitor systems to identify trends and anomalies, including green/cured waste, and ensure reduction countermeasures are developed
Assist in other areas of the plant to improve plant performance
Track departmental improvement initiatives in Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM, and TPM
Participate in TPM, Reliability, Yellow Belt teams, and be active in participating in problem-solving activities
Act as a team member on other work group teams and manage, identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects
Give timely responses and effective resolutions for departmental mis productions
Assist in daily troubleshooting of the manufacturing process in area of responsibility and act as a liaison to engineering services for departmental project work
Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations
Work overtime as required
Create recipes and update specifications and collect data for CPK/CMK
Report out to department using data analysis, collection, and root cause analysis
Train the trainers and develop work instructions, one-point lessons, process aids, and quality/process alerts
Must be proactive and possess general computer skills
Identify process problems and take ownership for results
Monitor tooling inventory and compare with demand
Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls
Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Five or more years' related manufacturing experience

Preferred
Associates degree
Six Sigma and green belt or other tire analysis/repair experience
