Administrative Assistant III, Student Life Technology, UNLV Student Life [R0150583]
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Administrative Assistant III to provide high-level administrative, financial, and operational support for Student Life Technology and Student Life Maintenance. The role includes managing complex scheduling, overseeing departmental accounts, supervising student employees, and resolving administrative issues.

Responsibilities
Executive Support: Managing complex scheduling and administrative needs for the Associate Director of SLT and providing operational support for SLM
Financial Management: Overseeing departmental accounts and travel budgets, exercising delegated expenditure authority, and managing high-volume procurement and invoice reconciliation
Workforce Coordination: Supervising front-desk student employees, managing the personnel lifecycle for student workers and Graduate Assistants (including I-9 compliance), and coordinating recruitment for professional and classified staff
Operations & Policy: Designing operational workflows, authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and resolving complex administrative issues within the TeamDynamix ticketing system
Communication: Independently composing executive-level correspondence and reports, and managing sensitive/confidential departmental information
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
Preferred
Working knowledge of FERPA regulations and UNLV-specific policies and procedures
Experience with Workday, TeamDynamix, or similar ticketing and human resources management systems
Demonstrated experience processing I-9 forms and managing student or graduate assistant employment contracts
Proven ability to resolve high-level, escalated inquiries and skillfully defuse conflict with diverse stakeholders
