Responsibilities

Assists the Transit Facility Maintenance/Customer Service Technician with pressure washing, painting, shelter cleaning, trash collection and bus stop upgrades including setting concrete forms, installing solar lighting and new signage
May be working independently or as a team with the Technician
Drive City vehicles between City facilities and job sites
May also be tasked with basic clerical duties as needed

Required

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older prior to the date of hire
Valid Driver's License
Submit a copy of current State employment driving record abstract to verify eligibility to drive City vehicles prior to hire
Experience in facility maintenance and/or customer service and clerical work preferred
Appear for scheduled work with regular, reliable and punctual attendance
Establish and maintain cooperative, effective, and productive working relationships using tact, patience and courtesy
Learn, interpret and implement procedural and technical instructions
Work in a team environment or independently
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public
Safely operate a motor vehicle and other equipment
Operate a computer if applicable to assignment
Work various shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
Physically perform the assigned duties and essential functions of the position
