The Procurement Coordinator role involves supporting the procurement team with the acquisition of goods, managing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining vendor communications.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the production team to understand production schedules and forecast material requirements accurately
Analyze historical sales patterns to predict future material needs
Utilize various internal tools such as recipes and batch production records to understand how sales forecasts impact raw material needs
Coordinate effectively with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues related to materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement
Work with existing and potential suppliers to bring in new material samples and COAs to ensure we are working with the best materials at the best cost
Conduct weekly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Keep track of stock levels, expiration dates, and ensure optimal stock rotation
Qualification
Required
Basic knowledge of procurement best practices and familiarity with inventory control principles
Experience in a procurement or supply chain role
Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail
Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Excel
Ability to stand or walk 8 hours a day
Ability to lift 30 pounds above head
Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience in natural health or wellness industry
Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapidly growing environment
