Legal Intern (Summer 2026)
South Platte Renew is seeking a Legal Intern for the Summer of 2026 within the City Attorney’s Office. The intern will gain experience in both civil and criminal law while assisting with legal services provided to city officials and departments, including drafting legislation and conducting research projects.

The ideal candidate for Summer Intern is responsive and personable, and has a strong work ethic, good research and writing skills, and a desire to explore many different aspects of the law
This is not an internship solely spent in front of a computer: we anticipate the Summer Intern will gain both civil and criminal experience, spending time in the community, meeting with public officials and boards, learning to draft legislation and present during public meetings, and assisting with various research projects that result in visible improvements to the community
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have completed their second year of law school to be considered for the Legal Intern role
Minimum 3.0 GPA is required
Preferred
Demonstrated commitment to extracurricular activities and/or community service preferred
Journal/Law Review experience preferred
