Responsibilities
Operate paper cutters and finishing equipment according to job tickets and production schedules
Read and interpret work orders, job tickets, and cutting layouts
Measure and verify finished product dimensions to ensure accuracy
Adjust machine settings for various paper sizes, weights, and job requirements
Inspect finished materials for quality standards and report defects
Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on cutting equipment
Maintain clean and organized work area
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Communicate effectively with press operators, bindery staff, and supervisors
Accurately complete required production documentation
Qualification
Required
Ability to read job specifications and use measuring tools accurately
Strong attention to detail
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Dependable attendance required
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
Manual dexterity to safely operate machinery
Preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience operating industrial cutting equipment preferred (printing industry a plus)
