Quality Technician

Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a Quality Technician responsible for managing the Material Review Board process and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves collaboration with various teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate MRB meetings to review and disposition nonconforming materials
Maintain accurate records of MRB activities, including NCRs (Nonconformance Reports), dispositions, and corrective actions
Ensure timely processing of nonconforming material to minimize production delays
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to determine root cause and appropriate disposition (rework, use-as-is, scrap, return to vendor)
Track and report MRB metrics and trends to support quality improvement efforts
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer requirements
Support internal and external audits related to MRB and nonconformance processes
Inspect and evaluate electronic components and assemblies for conformance to specifications
Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities by preparing documentation, coordinating meetings, and tracking dispositions
Help to perform root cause analysis on quality issues using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality investigations
Support internal audits and customer quality requirements
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements

Required

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or engineering environment
Proficiency in ERP and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar
Knowledge of ESD handling

Preferred

Working knowledge of GD&T, and technical drawings
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries
Proficiency in using measurement tools, microscopes, and inspection equipment
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC standards, or similar quality frameworks
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
