Responsibilities
Professionally maintain all heavy-duty and light duty equipment and vehicles associated with the construction and maintenance of secondary roads, rural airports and other user agency vehicles being operated in the area
Be able to resolve unusual or complex equipment problems through a variety of techniques and methods
The incumbent performs routine and specialized repair and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment
Be able to diagnose, maintain, repair and modify the following systems: Transmissions, drive trains, suspension, engine and emission, along with fuel injection, hydraulic systems, and brake systems including air and electrical for light and heavy-duty equipment
Qualification
Required
Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) per federal regulations (49 CFR 383)
Ability to diagnose, maintain, repair and modify systems including transmissions, drive trains, suspension, engine and emission, fuel injection, hydraulic systems, and brake systems for light and heavy-duty equipment
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge of motor vehicle engines, parts, and systems, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance
Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior
Provide a copy of your Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), front and back (if applicable) at the time of interview
Provide three (3) professional references including name, title and phone number at the time of interview
Comply with the DOT&PF Drug and Alcohol Policy and procedures
Provide own hand tools

Provide work experience documentation if using work experience not already documented in the application
