Department Assistant II
Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. The Department Assistant II position supports the Operations department by performing a variety of administrative tasks, including document management and data compilation.

Responsibilities
Creates, edits, and reviews Microsoft Word documents and Excel logs that require a basic understanding of administrative functions
Gathers, collects, records, tracks, and documents data and information from multiple departmental sources
Coordinates project review, routing, and final approval of documents in both print and electronic formats
Tracks project progress in logs and may report on the status of work assignments and projects
Maintains and updates a variety of confidential and sensitive reports and records in electronic and/or hard copy form
Assists the Manager with travel requests, expense reporting, and the coordination of internal and external meetings
Responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations whenever conducting business on behalf of the Company
Expected to work safely and in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and two or more years of experience in general office administration or in a field related to the specialized functional area or unit of assignment
Proficient in computer applications, including Concur, SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel is required
Demonstrates a broad understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to the assigned functional area
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities
Capable of identifying issues and solving routine problems
Possesses good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for accurate documentation and reporting
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness and ability to work extended hours as required
