Content and Project Assistant
The Diocese of Austin seeks a highly motivated Content and Project Assistant to support the ministry through communications and media. This role involves providing administrative support, managing content updates, and coordinating projects within the marketing and communications team.

Responsibilities
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of St. Mary’s Catholic Center in both your professional and personal life
Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Continuously grow in your ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed
Manage and update templated materials, including weekly bulletins, newsletters, and flyers
Ensure all templated content aligns with the organization’s branding guidelines and messaging standards
Manage and update the parish app with event details, announcements, resources, and multimedia content
Schedule and post content to social media, email platforms, and the website based on materials provided by the Director and Content Creator
Maintain the communication calendar, tracking deadlines for content and projects
Coordinate tasks across the MarCom team to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables
Provide logistical support for large events, including preparing materials and managing on-site communication needs
Organize and archive digital assets to ensure accessibility for the MarCom team
Review templated materials and communications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with branding standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Google Workspace and basic Adobe Suite
General understanding of social media platforms and practices
Must be well-organized, attentive to detail, and possess effective communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
A professional demeanor that includes the ability to set appropriate personal boundaries and maintain confidentiality
A sense of personal integrity—keeping commitments, dealing honestly and respectfully with all individuals, and a commitment to personal growth and spiritual development
All candidates must be able to support the mission of St. Mary's Catholic Center and its role as a Catholic institution
0-2 years experience in project coordination, administrative support, or content management
Valid driver's license
Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies through the employment period
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Preference will be given to candidates who are practicing Catholics
