Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routers to cut various materials
Review set up sheets, secure materials, and mount the specified router and drill bits while observing machine operations for proper functioning
Install machine control disk while manually adjusting feed and speed manually as needed
Utilize DNC software to program and use established programs for machine operation
Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate machine operations
Suggest improvements in machine sequencing, feeds, speeds, and parts layout
Use hand tools (e.g. shears, ratchets, drills) for work completion
Operate moving equipment for staging and other job-related functions
Qualification
Required
High School education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required
18 months of routing or directly related fabrication experience, including one year of CNC Machine Operation
Preferred
Knowledge of MOO, M, and G code is helpful
