Program Analyst

Responsibilities
Performs financial and project data gathering and analysis using approved systems and applications
Uses double-entry bookkeeping principles to support financial metrics, account balancing, and transaction accuracy reviews
Reviews transaction lists for content accuracy, trends, and anomalies
Performs data entry into approved DoD systems and collaboration tools
Conducts organizational, budgetary, and efficiency studies related to cost, schedule, and performance
Analyzes project and program effectiveness, policy development, regulatory compliance, and information systems
Supports special ad-hoc projects for senior leadership
Prepares sponsor statements of work, metrics, budget exhibits, and other program-related data deliverables
Conducts work simplification and measurement studies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Updates or creates operations and procedures manuals to support project and program execution
Collects, assembles, and communicates project plans and execution updates with minimal government involvement
Uses Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Word) to create analysis, reports, and decision-support materials
Bid and proposal support if requested
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
The ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required
Typically requires at least three (3) years of project or program management experience (Lean Principles desired)
Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Must possess strong time management skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
