DEPLOYMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsibilities

You will plan and execute deployment and redeployment operations for all U.S. and selected allied forces throughout the USPACOM area of operations (AOR), and in support of other Geographical Combatant Commands around the world
You will review operation orders and deployment orders to ensure deployment/redeployment requirements are adequately addressed
You will analyze the concept of operations for exercises, contingencies and combat operations, and ensure the prioritization and time-phasing of force deployments satisfy the commander's operational requirements
You will monitor performance of subordinate command Deployment Management Teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of deployment data

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

This is a Mission Essential position
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possess expert knowledge of the CJCS Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Defense Transportation System (DTS), and other supporting operational planning and execution systems. 2) Have in-depth knowledge of the unified/specified command structure, Service component organizations, operational requirements, and capabilities. 3) Must demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a team effectively, including assigning work, evaluating performance, mentoring, and ensuring compliance with theater policies and procedures. 4) Requires a deep, practical understanding of planning and execution for military operations, including contingencies and combat situations
