Manager in Training- Operations
Curtis Lumber Co, Inc. is a family owned and operated building materials retailer established in 1890. They are seeking a Manager in Training to assist in overseeing yard operations and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.

Responsibilities
Learn all applicable computer applications and understand general policies and procedures
Learn all operations specific policy and procedure – Inventory Control Systems, Receiving, Customer Delivery, and Manufacturing (Door Shop)
Through observation, hands on training and mentoring develop a firm understanding of safety management, branch logistics, inventory management, employee management, and expense management
Work directly within teams at the branch level to develop the fundamentals of operational and support logistics
Achieve forklift license and receive instruction on all variety of lifts used by the operations teams (Propane, Diesel, Electric, and Clamp)
Learn how to utilize reporting and data to manage and make business decisions
Attend company specific training as scheduled during the training period
Manager-in-Training will be expected to participate in year-end inventory audits
Understand the roles and meet members of each corporate department to include Human Resources, Purchasing, Special Orders, Loss Control
Qualification

Knowledge of lumber yard operations
