Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end infrastructure operations covering compute, storage, middleware, database, virtualization, and mainframe environments
Oversee VMware vSphere capacity, performance, HA/DR configurations, lifecycle upgrades, and optimization initiatives
Manage Linux, Windows, and AIX servers including patching, hardening, configuration, and performance tuning
Lead enterprise backup and recovery operations using Commvault & storage arrays (Data Domain, Infini Dat, PowerMax, NetApp)
Ensure reliable and secure operations of middleware platforms and enterprise databases
Govern mainframe operations: z/OS performance, capacity, CICS oversight, storage, automation, and workload management
Drive ITSM processes—Incident, Problem, Change Management—and ensure SLA compliance
Lead DR drills, failover testing, and ensure infrastructure resiliency
Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs, lifecycle documents, and infrastructure standards
Mentor technical teams, support escalations, and provide leadership during major incidents
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in VMware vSphere administration, HA/DR, clustering, and resource optimization
Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL/SUSE), Windows Server, and AIX OS platforms
Experience managing middleware technologies (WebSphere, WebLogic, IIS, Apache, MQ, etc.)
Hands‑on experience with database platforms (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Informix, CockroachDB optional)
Strong understanding of backup & storage platforms: Commvault, Dell EMC DataDomain, InfiniDat, PowerMax, NetApp
Solid grounding in mainframe systems (z/OS) including performance, capacity planning, CICS, storage, JCL, automation tools (e.g., Zutomation)
Strong command of Incident / Problem / Change Management (ITIL)
Experience with DR planning, patching, compliance, vulnerability management
Ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams and drive automation & standardization
Strong troubleshooting and RCA analysis across distributed and mainframe platforms
